It’s a very easy and fast process. It only takes you five business working days to get your passport. 

New Namibian passport application requirements 
1. Properly complete the application form.
2. Namibian Identification Document.
3. Certified copy of Namibian Identification Document.
4. Namibian Full Birth Certificate.
5. Certified copy of Namibian Full Birth Certificate.
6. N$400.00 for application fees.

Namibian passport renewal application requirements 
1. Properly complete the application form.
2. Namibian Identification Document.
3. Certified copy of Namibian Identification Document.
4. Namibian Full Birth Certificate.
5. Certified copy of Namibian Full Birth Certificate.
6. N$800.00 for application fees.
7. Police Affidavit or Declaration detailing what happened to your previous passport.

For the renewal of a passport, it’s only N$800.00 if the passport hasn’t still expired but you lost it. If the passport has expired and you applying for a new one it will cost you N$400.00

Where to obtain the application form 

You can get the application form at the Home Affairs & Immigration building on the first floor where it’s marked passport applications. They mark each form and you can’t download it online. You have to go collect it from their office. 

How to fill in the application form 

You need to read the application before filling it out. Take your time while doing it. As shown above that’s the application form and that’s all you are required to fill in. 

Important things to note when filling out the application form 

The important parts to fill in on the form above is section 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7. All questions are very general and easy to fill in. Section 8 is the one you have to really take note of as it’s the part that needs to be filled in by a police officer. Luckily there is a section on the first floor where police are available to complete this part for you and you can also make your declaration there. 

How & Where to pay the fees for the application form

You will pay the fees for the Home Affairs & Immigration office. There is a specific section for payments on the first-floor office. There is a specific section for payments on the first floor. There is a payments sign which is hard to miss. You can make a cash or card payment at the office. 

Do I need to have passport photos?

You don’t have to provide passport photos as they will take their own pictures of you once you go apply. 

Where is the Home Affairs Office in Windhoek
